Morris is a 1-year-old Shiba Inu who is, in every possible way, very much a Shiba. 😂 Because of that, we are requiring his adopter to have previous Shiba experience and understand all the weird little quirks that come with loving this breed.

Morris is incredibly friendly with people, sweet, and does well with both dogs and cats. He's also young, energetic, and always ready to play. His play style can be a little quirky and very Shiba, so he would do best with confident, understanding dog friends who don't mind his unique way of having fun. He may not always follow the traditional dog playbook, but the right canine friends seem to understand him just fine.

In true Shiba fashion, he is also a talented escape artist and should never be left unattended outside. If there's a way out, Morris is probably going to at least investigate it. He's stubborn, smart, and may occasionally decide that whatever you're asking him to do simply wasn't part of his plans for the day. Training will take consistency, patience, and a sense of humor.

And yes, Morris came fully equipped with the famous Shiba scream. He knows how to use it and isn't afraid to do so when he feels the situation calls for a little extra drama.

Underneath all of those very Shiba qualities is an incredibly sweet, social boy who loves people and gets along wonderfully with other animals. Morris isn't looking for someone to turn him into a different kind of dog. He needs someone who knows exactly what it means to share their life with a Shiba and will love all the stubborn, dramatic, wonderfully weird parts that come with him.

ADOPTION PROCESS
1. Review our adoption contract and application.

2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.

3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below:

It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 3 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed.
