Meet adam

Not sure a tuxedo ever looked this good, but Adam sure does wear his with style and when you add in that curled tail and those perky ears, it is absolutely swoon worthy! Adam is a small guy for an adult, weighing about 40 lbs now and is a terrier mix. He is a shy man who does great with other dogs and absolutely warms with some kindness and a soft hand. He would be a great dog for folks looking for a young yet mild and not crazy guy who is happy with run of the mill walks and lots of together time to feel cozy and at home. He would do really well in a home with other dogs to help build his confidence, but training and lots of reinforcement can do that even if he is a solo guy. Adam is wonderful in his crate, doesn't bark and carry on and is just super easy to be around. Adam is looking for his very own Garden of Eden and just knows his people are out there looking for him too!
*Sleepover feedback: Adam is such a sweet dog who loves to cuddle and play. He is good on a leash and loves to go on walks and be outside. Adam would do really well in a house with a backyard where he would have a lot of room to run around. I let him sleep in my bed, and he loved to cuddle all night and slept well.

Recent Feedback: "Adam made a great impression on my son by immediately jumping up on the couch with him and snuggling in. He did this a few times over the weekend - he's quite a cuddly guy.
Sunday he got to visit with a couple more dogs from our family. He was appropriately playful with these smaller dogs, even when one of them (a puppy) was a little extra excited. He does great on walks. I like to take 2-3 mile hikes each day, and he has been doing great on these. He walks eitheralongside or close by, and rarely pulls. Today we walked in the woods, and he was great again. I don't know if he's crossed a lot of streams. He definitely seemed puzzled by the stepping stones across a creek, but on the way back he handled them like he'd been crossing them his whole life.
Other items: he slept great. I know I should probably keep him in his crate at night, but he's so cuddly I let him sleep where he likes. He pretty much sleeps like a log all night long. He's getting better with training, so he sits/shakes without any hesitation. He's working on "stay"; doing better this weekend, but it's hard to be still when he's excited. He is very good riding in the car. As far as potty skills - I think being in a new place throws him off. He had a couple of accidents in the first 24 hours, but was perfect the rest of the time."
