Meet Coco: Part Golden, Part Doodle, 100% DevotedCoco is a 5-year-old Goldendoodle who came into our care with her buddy Ollie, an Irish Red and White Setter who is also looking for his forever home. These two were dearly loved by their owner, but after a move to assisted living, their person could no longer provide the wonderful home they had always known.Coco is a sweet, devoted companion who believes that wherever her people are, that is precisely where she should be. Preferably within touching distance. Most of the time, you’ll find her curled up at your feet or happily parked beside you.She is also a serious toy enthusiast. Give her a toy and she’s happy; engage her in a rousing game of tug and you’ve just become her favorite person. And she is true to her Golden heritage (approximately 62%, according to the highly scientific Coco Genetics Department) and absolutely LOVES to play fetch with a tennis ball or frisbee.Coco is loyal and affectionate, but she does have opinions—particularly about her favorite things. She can be a bit domineering and proprietorial, so she’ll need an experienced owner who can provide consistent guidance and help her learn to share her home and belongings harmoniously with other pets.She’s also quite the social chameleon. Coco tends to match the energy in the room, which means a calm household can bring out her best, while she is perfectly capable of becoming the life of the party when the occasion calls for it. In other words, she’s flexible—but she reserves the right to turn the fun level up to 11.Food is another one of Coco’s great motivators (frankly, she has excellent priorities). She enjoys her walks and playtime and takes daily leash walks. She is fully house-trained, knows her basic commands, and is ready to impress you with her good-girl credentials.As for cats, Coco enjoys a good game of chase. However, once the resident cat discovers that remaining perfectly still is a much better strategy than participating, Coco is happy to accept the new rules of the game and everyone can coexist peacefully.Coco needs a good amount of her person’s time, attention, and companionship. She’ll do best in a home where someone is around much of the time and is willing to play with her several times a day. In return, Coco will repay that investment generously—with companionship, affection, laughter, and the kind of unwavering devotion that makes you wonder how you ever lived without her.If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, enthusiastic fetch partner, professional foot warmer, and occasional household party planner, Coco may just be your girl.
