Meet George!
Located in Gladstone, MO
George is a 21-month-old Mini Goldendoodle who is looking for a very patient and understanding home.
George came to us very shut down and unsure of people. He is still learning that humans can be trusted and that he is safe. He has been in his foster home for about three weeks, and he is just now starting to approach his fosters and ask for pets. That is a huge step for him!
George will need plenty of time to decompress and adjust. His new family cannot expect him to warm up overnight. He needs people who will give him space, let him move at his own pace, and celebrate the small steps along the way.
There are two things George absolutely must have in his new home:
š¾ A securely fenced yard
š¾ Another friendly dog
These requirements are non-negotiable. George looks to other dogs for comfort and guidance. Having another dog around will help him learn the routine and begin trusting the people in his home.
George is potty trained, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. We believe he would probably do fine with cats because he is such a timid boy, but introductions would still need to be slow and supervised.
George is incredibly sweet. He just needs someone willing to be patient and give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. Watching him slowly learn to trust will make every little bit of progress worth it.
If you have a fenced yard, a friendly resident dog, and a quiet home where George can feel safe, he may be the perfect addition to your family.
