🎯🐾 Dart – Loyal, Toy-Loving Adventure Buddy Looking for His Forever Home 🐾🎯

Name: Dart 🐶
Age: ~6 years (but still acts like a puppy)
Breed: English Pointer mix? His personality is very similar to the German Shorthaired Pointers I know. After looking at pointer types, he looks almost identical to an English Pointer (vet agreed).
M/F: Male ♂️
Weight: 46 lbs ⚖️

Spayed/Neutered/Shots: 💉
UTD on Rabies & DHLPP, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, up to date on heartworm and flea prevention, and dewormed.

Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: 🐕👧👦
Has been good with other dogs and every human he has met so far. He is very energetic though, so he may be a bit much for very small children. Has done good with cats as well. 🐱

Aggression or medical issues?: 🩺
Food reactive with other dogs so fed in a crate with no problems. ✔️ Has a cherry eye but it does not cause problems.

Reason for rehoming?:
Found as a stray. No owner could be located, and he decided he liked sticking around. 🏡

House/crate trained?: 🚪
Yes! May try to mark at first but settles quickly.

Dart is very friendly, extremely energetic, and loves attention. He’s the kind of dog that wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing.

Even though his teeth suggest he’s around 6 years old, he still has a ton of puppy energy and life left in him. He was recently neutered, so some of that energy may settle as his hormones level out.

He loves toys, sticks, and anything he can carry around 🦴🌳 and walks decently well on a leash. One of his best traits is how loyal he is off leash — he naturally sticks close and likes to stay near his person. 🐕‍🦺
