Meet Poppy!
Poppy is a 2-year-old terrier mix with 19 pounds of love, personality, and endless enthusiasm! This happy girl treats every day like a new adventure, whether she's zooming around with her foster dog friends, exploring the outdoors, or snuggling up in bed. One of her cutest quirks is the adorable little "gremlin growls" she makes while playing. They're guaranteed to make you smile!
Poppy does well with dogs of all sizes and ages, but she plays hard and enjoys confident canine companions who can match her energy. As a young, active terrier mix, she's still learning basic manners and commands and will thrive with a family committed to continuing her training.
If you're looking for a sidekick, Poppy is your girl. She loves tagging along on hikes, walks, road trips, and any adventure her people can dream up. She'd even be a great candidate for dog agility or other active hobbies.
Poppy does have some special considerations. She can climb fences like a ladder, has separation anxiety, and mild resource guarding. Because of this, she'll do best with an experienced family, a secure fenced yard, and plenty of physical and mental enrichment. With structure, training, and patience, she has all the makings of an incredible companion.
