Meet Nellie: A Petite Sweetheart Ready for Her Fresh Start
Nellie is a young adult dog with a gentle heart, a quiet nature, and an irresistible little underbite that makes her extra charming. At just 16 pounds, she is the perfect petite companion for someone looking for a sweet, easy-to-love best friend.
She has a short, smooth sable-colored coat that is easy to care for, and she is already spayed. Nellie is tidy, quiet, and affectionate—especially when she is being held by someone she trusts.
Nellie can be a little shy when she first meets new people, but she warms up quickly and blossoms into a loving little shadow. Once she feels safe, she enjoys closeness, comfort, and gentle attention.
At about 1.5 years old, Nellie is past the tiny puppy stage but still young, bright, and ready to build a wonderful life with her forever family.
Nellie came from an overwhelmed shelter in Texas and escaped euthanasia for the chance to find her fortune in Iowa. Now she is ready for the next chapter: a calm, caring home where she can feel secure, adored, and finally settled.
