Meet paintbrush
Do you like big, lazy dogs? PB is your guy. This low energy dude is a Velcro dog who wants to supervise you at all times. Even if he finds a gap in your fence, all he does is introduce himself to the neighbors 😂
He is approx 3-6 years old. He's neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, dewormed, on flea prevention, and has the 12-month pro-heart injection.
He would be best in a home without other dogs. He has had multiple positive experiences with dogs and is non-reactive to them through fences or while on walks. However, he can redirect stress onto other dogs, which happened twice in a previous foster home. There were no injuries.
He is very easy to handle and take for walks, despite being 72 lbs. He does fine with a 4' fence and does not try to jump. He does great for vetting, and everyone at Noah's loves him. He has had multiple positive experiences with outdoor cats.
He is potty-trained but not crate-trained. He will need slow training for the crate. His teeth are worn down with metal marks with obvious signs of past bar biting.
He will also need an adopter who is patient and understanding of the 3-3-3 rule. PB has breed the -appropriate tendency of being slow to trust in new environments and unsure of new routines. Once he understands the routine he settles in. An adopter with Akita or shepherd (or similar) experience would be ideal. He is currently being fostered by someone in need of a heart transplant. For that reason, the current foster is short term only. We are looking for a longer-term foster, or better yet, an adopter.
