Meet Gambit! 🖤🤍
Gambit is a 1.5-year-old, 36-pound neutered cattle dog mix from El Paso, and this handsome boy has been waiting 175+ days for someone to give him a chance.
Gambit is a classic cattle dog with a big personality, a smart mind, and a playful heart. Shelter life has been stressful for him, and he can be reactive when he feels overwhelmed in his kennel. But once he gets out, has a chance to decompress, and gets away from the chaos, you get to see the real Gambit!
This clever boy is very treat motivated and absolutely loves his ball. Those things have helped staff build trust with him, and he has started recognizing his favorite people and showing them plenty of affection. He loves attention, gives kisses, and has become more and more playful as his confidence grows. 🥰
Gambit has also done well in playgroups with other dogs, showing that he can be social, playful, and enjoy canine friends.
He’s looking for a patient family who understands that the best relationships take time. Give Gambit a little time to decompress, introduce him to new people and pets slowly, and let him show you who he really is.
