Meet lady luna

Meet Lady Luna! This petite 11–12 lb Yorkie mix is a low-shed, sassy `woman of a certain age` who absolutely adores her people and would happily spend her days curled up in someone’s lap. She’s housebroken, crate trained, and comes readily when called. As you know, you should NEVER ask a lady her age, and Lady Luna seems like she might be trying to fudge her birth certificate a smidge - her original paperwork claims 8 years, but our vet suspects she might be a bit older. Her secret is safe with us (...and, the internet, and future adopters) - who doesn`t shave a few years off, amaright ladies? She’s been great with other dogs and curious about cats, but is easily redirected. Luna would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, snuggly, low-maintenance little shadow. A quiet adult home where she can be someone’s devoted sidekick would be her idea of heaven, and she could do well in an apartment or condo with regular leash walks.Like any fabulous senior lady, Luna has a few opinions, and she’s not shy about sharing them. Lady Luna isn’t obedience trained and is pretty convinced she should do things her way (Frankly, we aren`t arguing). She walks on leash but still needs some work on her leash manners. Luna can also be nervous around new people, so she’ll need a little time and patience to feel comfortable; once she does, her very sweet personality comes shining through. She can coexist with other animals, though if there’s another dog in the home, a quieter male would likely be her best match. Luna has also had surgery to remove bladder stones, and her veterinarian recommends a prescription diet, so her adopter will need to continue that care. In return, she’ll give you what she loves most: lap time and cuddles. Just don`t throw her any birthday parties, because she ain`t counting??If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care
