Smokey Joe is a handsome 14 month old German Shepherd/Pit Bull mix who spent some time in the prison Dog Training program. That means he knows some basic commands like Sit, Stay, Wait, Down, Come and Leave it. He walks great on a leash, is housebroken, crate trained, and he is neutered and utd on shots. Smokey is about 55 lbs., and has a stocky, shorter build. He does well with other dogs but plays hard, so only bigger dogs are advised. Smokey would love a fenced in yard to run in, or an active runner/walker buddy to help him get his puppy energy out. He calms down really quickly, and lives to be near his people. Smokey has a prey drive outside, but has not been tested with cats. He can be mouthy like a shepherd so he is best suited for a home with older or no children. Smokey Joe is sweet as pie and will be an easy dog for any dog savvy home. He has an adorable habit of hoarding dog toys so make sure you are stocked up if you apply! He feels you can never have too many, and will be going to his new home with some of his favorites. Smokey Joe promises to be your best friend. Are YOU the one?
