Meet scooter
Meet Scooter! 🐾
Scooter is a 2-year-old long-haired Chihuahua who came to Camp Companion along with six other Chihuahuas, and this little guy has definitely found his place in the pack! He is a fun, playful boy who absolutely loves running and playing with the other dogs. In fact, he has a whole pack of girls that love to chase him around the yard, and watching them all zoom around together is pretty hilarious! 😂
Scooter is a happy guy who likes to follow his people around but is evasive if you try to catch him. He is still learning that being handled and picked up can be a good thing. He needs someone patient who will continue working with him and helping him become more comfortable with handling and new experiences. Once you have him picked up and are holding him, he does just fine.
Scooter is use to a securely fenced yard with a doggie door. The leash is very scary to him right now, so having a safe yard where he can comfortably go outside is important. We will be working with him on leash skills this week and hopefully helping him discover that a leash isn't quite as terrifying as he thinks it is! 😊
Scooter is **potty trained** and knows how to use a doggy door. If a potty pad is available, he'll use that too.
He is looking for someone patient who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to help him continue coming out of his shell. With a little patience, Scooter has so much potential to become a wonderful companion.
