Meet shorty
Shorty is a 12 year old poodle mix, adopted from a shelter at 4 years old. We don't know much about his early life. Shorty is ready to retire from family life- our kids are too loud and rough with him and he has exhibited some anxiety-related behavior like having accidents in the house. When he did a trial run with an older couple, he had no accidents- we think this is an environmental issue.
He has never bitten anyone. He has lived with dogs, not sure about cats, is fine being an only dog. He is leash-reactive, meaning he needs distance from other dogs when on walks- not a puppy play date or dog park kind of dog. An experienced owner living in an apartment or owner with a fenced yard would be best.
He is affectionate with kids but nervous at times-we prefer a no-kid home, he's looking for a quiet house to chill. He is healthy and up to date with vaccines, could lose a little weight.Owners should be familiar and comfortable with grooming needs and expenses of poodle breeds.
