FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED
Meet Dudley!
Dudley is a 2-year-old, 14 lb Yorkshire Terrier mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter after his owner was no longer able to care for him. This little guy is incredibly sweet, but he is also quite shy and fearful and will need a patient, understanding home to help him build confidence at his own pace.
Dudley came to us with another Yorkie mix named Franklin, and Franklin has been a great source of confidence for him. Dudley is much more comfortable navigating new situations when Franklin is around, and he doesn’t always want to walk on leash without his buddy by his side. While they are bonded friends, they do not need to be adopted together and can go to separate homes.
We think Dudley would do best with another confident, well-adjusted dog in the home who can help show him the ropes and give him the security he needs to come out of his shell. He would benefit tremendously from having a canine companion to learn from and bond with.
Dudley is looking for adopters with shy-dog experience who understand that confidence isn’t built overnight. He’ll need patience, consistency, a calm environment, and lots of positive experiences without being rushed or pushed beyond his comfort zone.
If you’re someone who loves watching a shy dog discover their confidence and wants to give a sweet little guy the safe space he needs to flourish, Dudley may be your boy!
Dudley is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.
