👑 Meet Adeline!

This beauty queen is sure to steal your heart with her good looks—but don’t let that gorgeous face fool you! Adeline is still a diamond in the rough who is waiting for someone to show her just how wonderful life can be. 💛

Adeline is a 1-year-old Yellow Lab who was brought into a local shelter in Louisiana while she was in heat. After several days, no one came looking for her, so NYSRR stepped up to give this girl a second chance! We got her to the vet, had her checked out, and later had her spayed.

Adeline is a smart girl with a sweet personality and tons of potential. She just hasn’t had that special person willing to give her the time, attention, training, and affection she deserves.

Right now, Adeline is living with several other dogs and shares a pen with two pups, McCoy and Titan. She gets along well with everyone and seems to enjoy having canine company. 🐾

Adeline is still learning the basics. She doesn’t really know her commands yet, and we’re working with her on leash skills. A Halti-style harness may be helpful as she continues to learn how to walk nicely.

She’s young, beautiful, sweet—and ready for someone to help her blossom into the amazing dog we know she can be! 🌟

📍 PLEASE NOTE OUR ADOPTION AREA

Our dogs are NOT local dogs. We partner with a rescue group in Louisiana that saves these dogs before they end up in shelters. We then bring them to the Northeast on paid transport.

We ask that adopters live within a 60-mile radius of Long Island. Most of our volunteers, veterinarians, trainers, and other professional resources are located on Long Island, and we want to be close enough to support our adopters and our dogs if help is ever needed.
