Meet red $400
Red is an approximately 6 year old, 70 pound Redbone Coonhound with a wonderfully gentle and easygoing personality. He’s great with people of all ages, including children, and is completely unbothered by other dogs.
Indoors, he’s a relaxed companion who spends most of his day sleeping. Outside, Red is a typical hound! He has a strong prey drive and loves following scents, exploring, and flushing critters out of bushes and trees. He enjoys daily walks where he can take his time and investigate his surroundings. Like most hounds, he’s quite vocal, especially when trucks pass by.
Red can be wary of unexpected visitors, especially delivery drivers and particularly when he’s outside in the yard. He may be more cautious around unfamiliar men, so his future family should be mindful of introductions and keep him safely separated during unexpected arrivals.
Red is fully potty trained and does wonderfully with free roam of the house. He has rarely been crated in his foster home, so a household that requires frequent crating would be an adjustment for him. He would thrive with someone who understands and appreciates hound behavior. A securely fenced yard with plenty to explore would be ideal. Due to his barking, apartment living isn’t a good fit.
Red is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for adoption!
