Meet joy
Joy is a 12 yo Chiweenie that belonged to an elderly neighbor that has moved to a nursing home and can no longer keep her furry companion. Joy will do best in a home with a non-working human. She is used to constant companionship, which we cannot give her with our full time work schedules. She loves her lap time and doesn't have the chihuahua temperament. Joy is hesitant when meeting new dogs but relaxes around them when she realizes she isn't going to be a doggy snack. To our knowledge, she has never seen a cat so we can't predict how she will be in a feline home. She doesn't have dietary restrictions if you stick to dog food. Her prior human gave her people food on a couple of occasions that caused tummy upset.
