Meet yuri--happy happy!
Meet Yuri who is a cutie five-year-old Shih-tzu! Yuri has been very loved and cared for, but his owners are heading to another state to live with their adult family as they are no longer as mobile as they used to be and there is no longer room for him.
Yuri has transformed right before our very eyes in the last two weeks. He walks around with a smile on his face, wags his tail every time his foster family comes home, and now LOVES his outdoor time. Yuri is still pretty low key and enjoys his human companionship. He is doing amazing with going outside to potty even though he is puppy pee pad trained. If for some reason he needs to go before his humans come home, he will go on the pad. This is a plus as he still squats to pee and does not lift his leg. Yuri is a love bug and enjoys human companionship first and foremost. The one thing that a potential adopter needs to be aware of is that he does take medicine for a platelet issue, but he has been stable and fabulous for over two years. He doesn't seem limited by this except for the fact that he can't have a rabies vaccine as that may have been the catalyst that caused the platelet issue. The medicine manages the condition so you would never know it!
Everyone wants a perfect dog.......and Yuri is perfect in so many ways so please consider him! This is what true rescue is about!
