Knowles is a baby boy who is currently living his best puppy life while learning all about the world around him. His mom is approximately 70 pounds and his dad is estimated to be around 120 pounds, so this handsome guy has a whole lot of growing left to do. Right now he is still in the adorable my legs are too long, my paws are too big, and I have no idea what to do with either of them phase of puppyhood, but we have a feeling there is going to be one very impressive dog underneath all that puppy silliness. Knowles is busy learning his puppy manners and working on his house training. He is still a baby, so he is figuring things out one day at a time and will need a family who understands that puppy training is a process. He is making progress, but there may still be an occasional accident along the way because apparently remembering where the bathroom is can be a very complicated concept when you are busy being a puppy. He is also a typical mouthy puppy, meaning just about everything seems to require a little investigation with his teeth. Fingers, toys, blankets, shoelaces, and anything else within reach can suddenly become extremely interesting. Knowles will need patient adopters who understand that puppy mouths are part of the package and who are willing to continue teaching him appropriate manners as he grows. One of Knowles's favorite things is playing outside. He loves getting out to explore, sniff around, stretch those growing legs, and generally participate in whatever important puppy activities are happening outdoors. And when it comes to toys, Knowles is a big fan. Give this boy a toy and he is ready to play, chew, carry, wrestle, and probably decide that it is now officially his most prized possession. Knowles came to us as a local surrender and is now looking for a forever family who will give him the stability, patience, structure, training, and love he needs to grow into the wonderful dog he is meant to be. Because Knowles is a mastiff mix who is expected to become a very large and powerful adult, he will only be adopted to adopters with previous bully-breed experience. His future family should be prepared for the commitment that comes with raising a large-breed puppy and understand the importance of continued training, socialization, boundaries, and consistency. For now, Knowles is just a goofy baby boy with a rapidly growing body, enormous potential, a serious love of toys, and a whole lot of puppy mischief waiting to happen. He is learning, playing, growing, and doing his very best to convince everyone that whatever he just did was completely adorable and therefore totally acceptable.
