Meet tanda
I acquired Tanda after his mother a pure-bred German shepherd passed away while giving birth to he and his siblings. I named him 'Tanda' short for KiTanda in Kiswahili for mattress because when I first got him, he was a heavy sleeping ball of fur after feeding him bottles of doggie formula and he would lie still for hours like a big furry mattress.
He is 6 1/2 years old; I got him when he was less than 7 weeks old during the COVID pandemic. Tanda is incredibly loyal, highly coachable and trainable, and not too needy nor noisy. As long as he is well fed and hugged and in your presense, he is satisfied lounging, watching TV, or playing with toys (which last a lifetime as he is a gentle chewer). Tanda is an indoor dog who prefers just he and his family, and he enjoys people as he was raised in a college town. You do not need much land for him, he is not destructive, not a digger, and doesn't chew sensitive furniture or belongings and he can swim, fetch, and lightly track items.
