Moana is a 6-week-old Chihuahua puppy who may be tiny, but she already has a sweet personality and a big future ahead of her!

Moana didn't have the easiest start in life. She was born in a car in the middle of summer, during some incredibly hot weather. Her family knew they needed help and made the difficult decision to reach out for assistance.

Thankfully, the rescue stepped up, along with an amazing foster family, who gave Moana, her mom, and her siblings the safe and loving environment they needed to grow and thrive.

And thrive she has! ❤️

Moana is doing amazing and is now ready to start looking for the forever family who will continue giving her the love and care she deserves.

🐶 Meet Moana

Moana is a sweet little Chihuahua puppy with an adorable personality. She is growing, learning, playing, and discovering the world around her alongside her mom and siblings.

She has had the opportunity to learn important puppy social skills while growing up with her littermates. Moana is good with other dogs and has also been around a cat.

At only 6 weeks old, Moana is not potty trained yet. Her forever family should be prepared for all the normal puppy stages—including potty training, chewing, learning boundaries, and lots of supervision.

Moana would make a wonderful companion for someone looking to add a tiny bundle of puppy love to their family.

Her adopter should understand that a young puppy requires time, patience, consistency, and lots of care. Moana will need someone willing to continue helping her learn and grow into the wonderful adult dog she is meant to become.

Whether she finds a family with children, another dog, or someone looking for a little companion to spoil, Moana has so much potential.

Her foster family has loved watching Moana grow and thrive, and while they are going to miss her terribly, they know it's time for this little girl to start the next chapter of her life.

After everything Moana has overcome already, she deserves a forever family who will cherish her for many years to come.

📅 Adoption Information

Moana will be ready to leave her foster home on September 5th.

We are happy to schedule meet-and-greets in advance, with her official pickup/adoption date around September 5th.

This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason.

Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval.

Microchip registered to 24 Pet Watch for free

DHPP Vaccine series

Bordetella Vaccine

Leptospirosis Vaccine series

Rabies vaccine

4DX Heartworm test (7 months of age or older)

Spay/Neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue)

General wellness care (includes deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention)
