She is a gentle, sweet girl with a charming personality who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. True to her breed, Mai Mai has some endearing and unique quirks! She does the classic Japanese Chin "chin wave," happily waving her front paws to greet you or get your attention. She is also meticulously tidy and loves to groom herself just like a cat. Mai Mai is searching for a loving home with a securely fenced yard, as she is not yet leash-trained and needs a safe outdoor space to explore at her own pace. She would thrive in a patient household that can help her continue to build confidence and learn new routines. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps with no larger than 2.5 inches.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $650August 29, 2026, 5:14 pm
