Hi everyone,
My name is Ginger. I live in Temple Texas with my temporary mom and her 3 cats.

Almost 2 years ago, my mom visited the Temple animal shelter to discuss a stray cat in her neighborhood. While my temporary mom talked with animal shelter staff, she noticed my (then) owners walk thru the door with me. My dad was carrying me as I was too afraid to walk. He put me down, and I immediately laid spread eagle on the floor, started to shake, and urinated. I was terrified. My temporary mom tried to talk to me, but it just made me shake more. She casually asked my dad how I react to cats; he said that I had been AROUND cats but could not confirm how I would react to one. Dad showed her his first picture of me at the Bell county animal shelter. I was a breeding dog and was at least 15 pounds underweight (temporary mom could see every rib that I had in that picture). Temporary mom could tell that mom, and dad loved me very much and had taken outstanding care of me. Unfortunately, their HOA would not allow me to stay with them because I am a Pit Bull/Bull Dog mix. That is why we were at the shelter. Mom and dad were in tears. Temporary mom asked the shelter staff if they thought I would be adoptable. Their reply changed her life and my life. My temporary mom volunteered to take me home. Mom and dad trained me well while I lived with them. My temporary mom just reinforced my training and worked with me on my self-confidence.

Fully housebroken (I will let you know when I need to go out).
Kennel trained
Fully vetted
Knows basic commands (sit, stay, kennel, lay down).
I am VERY well behaved around people. I politely ask for pets with a nose nudge.
I enjoy being around cats.
I like other dogs.
I'm typically a very quiet dog; however, I'm beginning to bark at strangers when they approach our home. Not excessively, just to give notice.
I am incredibly kind, loving, and smart.
I do not climb your furniture. I prefer to be in my own bed and crate.
I ride in a car well (love me a good pupa chino from Starbucks). Temporary mom has pictures.
I love walking around PetSmart, the park, and anywhere else you want to take me. My days of collapsing on the floor are over.
I am literally the perfect dog.
I like to chew, but chew treats keep the house safe.

My Temporary mom and I have discussed this many times. It is time for me to find a real family. I need kids and maybe other animals to play with. I need a family that does not work a 12-hour shift several days per week. I also need to be safe. Temporary mom has been offered cash more than once while walking me. She is now afraid to leave me in the backyard alone.

Please be my FOREVER home. In return, I will be your loyal companion for the rest of my days.
