Meet sammy
Sammy is a beautiful and affectionate dog of 34 pounds. He was brought up from Tennessee in 2020 and enjoyed a happy first several years in NY. His current owner had lots of free time and lived near green space where he could go off leash. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, Sammy developed a dislike of puppies and dogs that got into his personal space. Then, about a year ago I moved and had a baby, and Sammy hasn’t been the same since. He has begun snapping at people coming into our apartment. More importantly, he bit my son, who is just starting to be mobile. It’s safe to say, Sammy should NOT go to a home with young children. But he will make an adult household very happy. He loves hiking, knows basic commands and is quirky and wonderful. If you're interested and nearby, I'll gladly arrange a meeting. I'm also happy to transport Sammy if you're outside the city and a good fit.
