Meet kev the lab mix
Call him Kev! Kev is the ultimate survivor! Found limping following the devastating fires in Eastern Washington - his owners surrendered him after losing their home. Kev was rescued by our partners, who immediately reached out to us. We were able to get x-rays right away and found the cause of the injury - a bullet lodged near his shoulder joint!
It is believed Kev was likely shot some time ago and all the running while scavenging for food and shelter migrated the bullet to a painful location in his joint. Fortunately, we will make sure Kev never suffers again! Kev will have surgery to remove the bullet and repair as soon as possible, hoping in the next two weeks!
Since Kev has already lived in a home with children, the transition to a new home should be fairly uncomplicated!
Kev will need a foster or adopter by around 8.25 he is being neutered on the 24th and may need minor follow up care following this surgery.
Kev is a yellow lab mix, a nice mid size pup and at about 3 years old, will make someone a wonderful life partner for many years to come!
Kev will be neutered as well, and up to date on vaccinations, Microchipped and go home with a Fi Mini Tracker free for 6 months (with ongoing subscription available).
