Eleanor Rigby is a 4½-year-old Bichon Frise weighing just 6.5 pounds, making her a truly itty-bitty little lady. Like many dogs from commercial breeding environments, she's still learning what life is like outside of that world and discovering that people can be kind, patient, and loving.
At first glance, Eleanor may seem quiet and reserved, preferring to observe rather than jump into the action. She can be timid in new situations, but beneath that cautious exterior is a gentle little dog who wants so badly to feel safe and secure. She allows handling well and finds comfort in the company of her caregivers, especially when they give her the time and space she needs to settle in.
Eleanor is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let her adjust at her own pace. A home with another friendly, confident dog would be a wonderful bonus, helping her learn the routines of family life and showing her that the world isn't such a scary place after all.
