Albert, at just about 11 months old and 7 lbs, is just naturally a lover. When he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just can't help but melt.

Albert is a cute as can be Chihuahua / Miniature Pincher with all the traits that make these super-smart and personality-plus dogs very popular breed mixes for families as well as best friends for individuals.

Albert is incredibly sweet and just at tad shy at first from all the confusing changes in his life. He was left in the drop box of our shelter partner in New Mexico which was understandably very confusing for him!
Albert really enjoys being around other dogs and would prefer a home with another small, friendly dog.

Albert is a very healthy tiny dog who will love his family with all his heart. He would definitely enjoy another gentle dog to play with, and then lying together in the sunshine at the end of a beautiful day is perfect for our sweet Alby.

This little guy will have so much fun exploring and taking walks along Colorado trails..and if his little legs get tired, a boost up to a backpack would be perfect for this tiny pup to watch the trail from above.

Albert is a beautiful Chihuahua mix with a beautiful face and the prettiest dark eyes ever. He's just about 11 months old which is such a great age, old enough to have left his babyish behaviors behind and young enough to absorb new concepts and training skills with many, many wonderful years ahead.

Albert may be initially a bit shy after his very long transport from Texas to Colorado, but given a bit of time, Albert becomes an extremely engaging and loving little guy! We would love to see Albert in a home with a dog-crazy family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very sweet dog. We'd hate to see Albert left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. We think he's too sensitive for that kind of arrangement. He's such an amazing dog and just the right size and temperament to nap under the desk while his people are working or to accompany his favorite people just about anywhere..and would absolutely love it.

Farfel's would like to see Albert in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a little guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Albert has a gorgeous, cottony-soft coat that is currently shelter-sad. He will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing and excellent nutrition. Current research is very clear that a human-grade, fresh diet is the healthiest choice we can provide for our pets. Farfel's has had personal experience and therefore highly recommends Chi Diet (chidog.com) for far fewer vet visits and a long and healthy life for our best friends.
