Meet bart
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***
Meet Bart! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is just about ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'pray' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.
Bart seems to always be smiling! He isn't too high energy and prefers to slow down and smell the roses. He can be mouthy with his play, so he needs reminds to be "gentle".
While at first he can be a bit socially awkward with other canines, it doesn't last long and he starts playing with them, in short bursts. When he is done, he'll just lay down to rest.
He does well in his kenneled and doesn't seem to get into things he should not be in. He was too distracted when we introduced him to cats, but if you have a cat and you're interested we can reintroduce him.
Bart has started going on short jogs with his handler and enjoys them. But he'd really be satisfied with a nice easy walk every day.
He is set to graduate towards the middle of September and cannot wait to meet a new family. Apply to meet him today!
