Meet baby
I inherited Baby when my longtime partner died in the summer of 2025. He had previously adopted her from a rural rescue organization. While Baby is affectionate, smart, and adaptable, she is really too large and strong for me to handle as an elderly, single woman. On the positive side, Baby loves all people and especially children. She is comfortable indoors and out. She has adapted to my small house and fenced yard, but she previously ranged freely with my ranching partner. She meets other dogs well and is still playful. She was an adult when he rescued her, and I estimate her age to be about 5 or six.On the negative side, she has a strange aversion to large commercial trucks. She is very strong and can be difficult to walk. She sheds.Baby is a happy dog, and I love her, but I worry that she would be happier with a family that can give her a fuller life. Her love of children is really her defining characterization, and she is probably missing that here with us.
