Toby is a beautiful Great Pyrenees/Lab mix who turned one year old in June and weighs right around 70 pounds. This handsome boy is looking for a new home through no fault of his own.

Toby was taken in as a puppy by a loving family, but his owner is elderly and has realized that a young, active dog needs more attention and exercise than she is able to give him. She wants Toby to have a home where he can get all the activity, love, and companionship he deserves.

Toby is friendly, smart, house trained, and crate trained. He already knows several commands and is eager to learn. He's also great with kids, and lives with cats, making him a wonderful family companion. At just a year old, he still has plenty of puppy energy and would love a family who will include him in walks, playtime, and everyday adventures.

At 70 pounds, Toby is a big, beautiful boy with lots of love to give. He just needs the right family to help him continue growing into the wonderful dog he is meant to be.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.

The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.

NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.

If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
