Meet Gilly!

A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier currently in Long Beach, CA, whose essence is a joyful blend of goofy charm, gentle sensitivity, and affection wrapped in a handsome tan-and-white coat.

At 62 pounds, Guillermo, affectionately known as Gilly, is a big puppy at heart who loves being close to his people! Whether he is playing with his favorite toys, hopping into the car for an adventure, or enjoying a luxurious spa day, this sweet boy has a wonderful way of making ordinary moments feel more cheerful. Monthly grooming sessions are even something he enjoys!

Gilly is playful, friendly with new people, and eager to please. He knows sit, stay, and crate, comes when called, and does well relaxing in his crate for short periods alone. He thrives with a consistent daily routine and will benefit from a patient pet parent committed to continuing his training through positive reinforcement.

Food is especially exciting for Gilly, so he is learning to feel secure around meals and practice sharing. He can also be sensitive to fireworks, storms, garbage trucks, and other loud sounds. Calm guidance helps him build confidence when the world gets noisy or unfamiliar.

Gilly is reactive toward other dogs and needs to be the only dog in his new loving home. His compatibility with cats and children is unknown because he has not had enough interaction with them. A fenced yard and a family familiar with his breed, or willing to learn, would support his continued progress.

This handsome boy is neutered, microchipped, house-trained, and up to date on vaccinations. He has received treatment for skin allergies, which have been easily managed through diet. He is otherwise a healthy, happy companion!

Gilly brings affection, laughter, enthusiasm, and plenty of tail-wagging personality to every day. With steady support, training, and connection, he is ready to keep learning alongside a caring family and share all the joyful adventures ahead!
