Let’s just start with the obvious… this boy is ridiculously handsome.

That long, flowing coat.

That strong, sculpted face.

Those deep, intelligent eyes that study you before deciding you’re worth his heart.

Shaka turns heads everywhere he goes. People stop. They compliment. And he calmly sits at your feet like he knows exactly how good-looking he is.

And here’s a bonus… that beautiful coat? It’s long and luxurious with a thinner undercoat, so he barely sheds, especially compared to a Dutch Shepherd. You get the stunning look without the constant fur tumbleweeds.

But he’s more than a pretty face.

He has an excellent off switch and will happily sleep for hours after a good walk. He’s fantastic with other dogs of all sizes and both genders, no barking, no reactivity. In public, he’s respectful and composed. He’s smart, food motivated, and his recall continues to improve beautifully.

He’s thoughtful. Intentional. Loyal.

Now, let’s be honest about what he needs.

Shaka is still young at heart and can occasionally act like a teenager testing boundaries. He’s smart enough to try “games” if he senses inconsistency, so he truly needs clear leadership and someone who won’t engage in that back-and-forth. Structure builds his confidence.

He can also still be a bit mouthy when excited, so a home without young children would be best.

Shaka would thrive with an experienced, active handler who appreciates a working-breed brain and understands that consistency equals success. He may take a minute to warm up, but once he chooses you, he’s deeply devoted.

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each dog is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
