Forky is incredibly smart, affectionate, curious, and wonderfully vocal. He has a very special way of communicating with his humans—he will use his sounds to let you know exactly what he wants, whether it’s a walk, dinner, playtime, or simply some attention. 🥰 Because Forky is such a vocal and expressive little dog, he needs patient humans who will understand and appreciate his personality. He can be a little demanding at times, but always in the sweetest way—almost like a child with his parents, wanting their attention, affection, and reassurance. 🧡

At first, Forky may seem a little reserved or independent. But once he trusts you and feels comfortable, his personality really shines. He becomes affectionate, devoted, and loves being close to his people.

And one thing you should definitely know about Forky: he jumps like a little grasshopper! 😂 If there is a low fence, Forky will probably clear it without hesitation. When his human comes home from work, or when he wants to be picked up, he will happily bounce all over you again and again, like a little pogo stick. It’s one of his funniest and most endearing traits!

Forky is house-trained. If you have a doggie door, he will happily go outside on his own when he needs to.

He knows how to walk on a leash, but what he truly loves is running and running like a free spirit. He would absolutely enjoy a family who can give him opportunities to safely run, explore, and enjoy life.

Forky is very friendly with cats, children and gets along well with other dogs.

Forky is fully accustomed to living indoors and does not destroy things around the house. He can stay in a crate for short periods without crying, but after a while, his very vocal personality comes out and he will politely—and persistently—let you know that he thinks it’s time to come out. 😂

What Forky really wants is simple: a comfortable couch, a loving family, lots of affection, and humans who appreciate his funny, expressive personality. Forky is a smart, loving, adventurous little guy with a BIG personality.
