TA fabulous volunteer took her out on a field trip - here is their report: Sana was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. She is a gentle, affectionate, low-key dog who appears somewhat shy and reserved initially but becomes increasingly sweet, playful, and connected as she gets comfortable.She responds especially well to calm energy, patience, and gentle direction. Once she understands that she is safe, she seems very happy simply to stay close to her person and follow along. Sana walked nicely on leash and was attentive to me. She did her business outside and showed no concern about people passing by while walking.She was also comfortable exploring the yard. When off leash in the enclosed yard, she stayed relatively close, explored at a short distance, and returned to me on her own. She did not appear interested in wandering away.She became visibly happy when she saw me pick up the leash for another walk, giving a small happy jump. She seems to be a gentle giant with a soft personality and a puppy-like streak underneath her initial shyness.We took Sana out to the park for the day, and it was wonderful to see just how quickly she relaxed once we left the shelter. She was an absolute pleasure on leash, happily taking in her surroundings and enjoying a leisurely walk. Sana was curious about the water and checked it out with interest - although she ultimately decided staying dry was the better option! Despite the busy park and plenty of people and dogs around, she remained calm and unfazed, earning lots of compliments along the way for her beautiful coat. By the end of the day, Sana had really warmed up to us, showing just how much she has to offer once she feels comfortable.
