Meet trixie
Meet Trixie!
Trixie’s story began when she and her three siblings were dumped at just 6–8 weeks old. They arrived hungry, exhausted and covered in fleas. With food, baths and veterinary care, Trixie got the chance to grow into the happy, silly puppy she is today.
Now four months old, Trixie is an energetic Dachshund mix who loves people as much as she loves to play. She’s usually the first to invite another dog into a game, and she’d especially enjoy a home with a playful dog who can keep up with her zoomies. When the fun is over, she’s ready to climb into your lap, give you kisses and snuggle close.
Trixie is food motivated and eager to keep learning. Potty training is still in progress. She does well in her kennel for up to six hours, though she would prefer shorter stretches as a regular routine. She walks best in a harness. Like many puppies, she has sharp little teeth and needs supervision with toys because she may try to swallow stuffing or loose pieces.
Trixie is good with dogs and children; she has not been tested with cats. She’d thrive with a family ready for puppy energy, playtime and continued training. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her zoomies, but it is not required.
Trixie is located in Kansas City, Missouri. Her adoption fee is $350, and her remaining vetting will be completed within the next two weeks.
