merlot

When Merlot arrived, she was a skinny little girl in need of some serious TLC. Since then, she`s been through more than most dogs ever should, including double knee surgery on both back legs and a recent tail amputation after a stubborn case of `happy tail.` While she may not have appreciated all the stretches, rehab, and recovery time that came with it, she`s worked hard every step of the way and is now walking well and feeling better every day. We`re also continuing to help her reach a healthy weight so she can be her strongest, happiest self.Through it all, Merlot has remained as sweet as can be. She keeps her kennel mostly clean, enjoys playing with toys, and walks nicely on leash. Despite everything she`s endured, she still greets the world with a gentle spirit and a hopeful heart.Because of her recent surgeries, we haven`t been able to officially test Merlot with other dogs yet. She doesn`t seem bothered by dogs passing by, but she`ll need to meet all human and furry family members before heading home to make sure everyone is a good match. Merlot is waiting for her forever home at our Adoption Center. Stop by during open hours to meet this sweet survivor, or fill out an application online to give her the happy ending she deserves.
