She was born on the side of a busy street in Puerto Rico alongside her six siblings after her mama searched for the safest place she could find. Then, heartbreak struck. Their mom suddenly disappeared and never came back. Left alone, these fragile puppies faced impossible odds. While rescuers were able to save the litter, two of Maia's siblings sadly didn't survive.
Despite such a difficult start, Maia has blossomed into a sweet, playful little girl who loves to explore, cuddle, and soak up every bit of love she can find. She is a firecracker with a fun, silly spirit that makes you fall in love the moment you meet her, and she's ready to leave her past behind for a future filled with belly rubs, cozy naps, and a family to call her own.
