My name is Barbosa and I’m not sure why everyone says I’m so big. I don’t think I am. I can climb into your lap and snuggle against you like a little dog. Plus, being taller means you don’t have to bend over to pet me. There’s just 95 pounds of me to love! I was raised by people who loved me, so I’m still a little confused as to my current situation and need some reassurance. Being petted helps and I feel better if I can see you at all times. Consider me your shadow. But it does mean that I’m completely housebroken, have inside manners (I can easily reach the countertop, but don’t countersurf), like to be brushed and know some commands like “sit and down”.I am a goofy boy who likes to run and chase my smaller foster sibling and play with toys. But when I need a breather, I flop on the floor like a frog or a bearskin rug. I’m not sure I understand this concept of “personal space”, but I guarantee you’ll never have to be in the bathroom alone again!There are no small children in my foster home, but I think I’d like them, though I might accidentally knock them over. I have not shown a strong prey drive, so cats might be okay, too. I don’t need a fenced yard, but could use some help working off a few pounds. I love walks, but need some practice so I stop pulling on the leash.
