Meet Kristy!
Kristy is a 2-year-old border collie mix — sweet, a little silly, and endlessly curious about the world around her. She takes in a new person carefully before she decides about them, and a busy room can be a lot for her, so the Kristy you meet on day one isn't the whole story. Give her quiet, time, and a bit of patience, and the real girl comes through.
And she is worth the wait. She's happiest outdoors with her nose down, investigating everything, and she is an absolute dream on leash: gentle, responsive, and no pulling at all. She likes a good scratch and will come and ask for affection once she knows you. She's a bright girl who does best with an active person and plenty to keep her mind busy.
Kristy really blossoms in the company of another dog. She's at her most relaxed and confident with a canine friend nearby, so we're looking for a home that already has a dog-social dog for her to buddy up with. She's coexisted peacefully with cats and would suit a home with teens and adults.
She's also a clever girl with a talent for finding her own way out, so she'll need a securely fenced yard, a well-fitted harness, and people committed to keeping her leashed on adventures. Our team knows her well and would love to talk through what the right setup looks like.
