Hi, I’m Carper! Not too long ago, I showed up at a kind lady’s home scared, starving, and in need of help. She took me in and has been trying to find me a loving home. Unfortunately, her declining health and ongoing hospitalizations now make it difficult for her to give me the care I need.Even though I had a rough start to life, I’m a super sweet, 60-pound ball of love! I bond very closely with my humans and can’t wait to have a family of my own.I love being outside, going for walks, playing ball, riding in the car, and of course, snuggling! More than anything, I just love being near my people.I do great with dogs of all sizes and really enjoy playing with them! I’m still learning the ropes of being a house dog and I do have a bit of a mischievous streak. But I’m smart! I already know “sit” and “come,” I walk on a leash, and I love treats, so I’m eager to keep learning. Because I didn’t receive proper medical care earlier in my life, I am heartworm positive. The good news is that I’ve already started the highly successful slow-kill treatment, and Pawmetto Lifeline will cover my treatment until I test negative!
