Hi, I’m Buddy!My story started about 2½ years ago when my family found me on the side of the road and couldn’t leave me behind. They already had four rescue dogs and weren’t planning to add another, but somehow I found my way into their hearts—and I’ve been part of the family ever since!I’m a happy, loving, playful guy who truly enjoys being around people and other dogs. I’m friendly and excited to meet new people, whether they’re men, women, or kids of all ages. I’ve lived with four other dogs and get along wonderfully with them, and I’m friendly and playful with both big and small dogs. I haven’t met any cats yet, so that’s still a mystery!I’m a pretty well-rounded guy, too. I’m housetrained, crate trained, walk nicely on a leash, and actually love my crate. I know how to sit and stay, take treats gently, and I’m friendly and well-mannered at mealtime. When we go outside, I enjoy walks, playing in the yard, and just having fun. I’m also not a toy destroyer—I’ve never been one to tear things up!One thing you should know about me is that I have allergies, so I do best as primarily an indoor dog where my symptoms can be better managed. I also need a home with a secure fence because I can climb fences when I get the opportunity.My family loves me very much, and making the decision to find me a new home has been incredibly difficult. Since their family welcomed a new baby, their time and financial circumstances have changed, and they want to make sure I get the care, attention, and stability I deserve.I’m hoping my next chapter is with someone who will love me just as much as my first family did.
