Meet Fortress, a sweet 3-year-old, 35-pound girl who may be a little timid at first, but it doesn’t take long to find the way to her heart—treats!Fortress is VERY food motivated, and a tasty snack helps her feel more comfortable when it’s time to get leashed. Once she’s out and about, she settles in nicely, walks well by your side, and frequently checks in with her person along the way. Of course, she might also be checking to see if you have another treat ready!This smart girl already knows “sit,” “paw,” responded quickly to “yes” as a marker, and really seemed to enjoy working with her handler. Her love of treats and willingness to engage could make training together a fun way to build her confidence and strengthen your bond. She is so smart and athletic. This sweet girl has ears for years, and will show her cute head tilt with a whistle. Fortress is looking for someone who will give her a little patience as she gets comfortable and plenty of love as she comes out of her shell.She would like to be the only dog in her future home, where she can soak up all the attention for herself.Fortress is currently in the comfort of a foster home.
