Amelia and her dog buddy, Elsa, suddenly found themselves surrendered to a shelter in Alabama through no fault of their own. With adoptions few and far between, their future was uncertain and the shelter was a scary place to be. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in and gave these deserving girls a second chance. Now Amelia is ready for the best part of her journey — finding a forever family of her very own!

Amelia is a wonderful girl who already has some impressive house-dog skills. She is very well behaved, knows some commands, and is excellent with other dogs. She has so much love and companionship to offer and will make a fantastic addition to one lucky home. After everything she’s been through, Amelia is ready to leave shelter life behind and discover just how wonderful it feels to truly belong. In return, she promises years of love, loyalty, and faithful companionship.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs.
