We typically respond within 24 hours if you do not hear from us after completing the application please send us an email adopt@almosthmenm.org Approximate DOB 5/26/2026 – last weigh in on 7/28/2026 she was 3.9 lbs we are expecting her to be about 15-20 lbs as an adult  History: After bringing Riley in we decided it would be best if she had a friend to be raised with while she was here so we reached out to the shelters for another single baby about Riley's size. The same shelter who had Riley right away contacted us about Brooke also too young and small to be adopted out at that time.   Current Behavior: Very sweet and loves everyone. Loves to play with everyone and settles down easily. She is currently using an x-pen when not loose in the house. She has her bed, food, water, and puppy pads and will go to her x-pen to nap when she gets tired and that is also where she sleeps. She still has accidents so whoever adopts her will need to continue with house training..  Housetraining- using puppy pads but misses at times. Little Brooke is absolutely darling and so sweet. She loves kisses but doesn't know how to do them gently and so bites your face instead. She does love playing with toys. She is just an awesome little girl that will do best in a loving family where she can continue learning how to be the best girl ever as an adult. We do not know her breeds as she was a stray but based on her current size and looks we are making our best guess at what she might be. We would love to get a DNA test done on her but have not done so yet.  Spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations Adoption Fee $250 We do welcome out-of-state adoptions. Adopters must make arrangements to come out to meet and complete the adoption. If you have other dogs it is recommended you bring them out to to the meeting. Steps for adoption: Read bio, complete the application, once approved you will receive an email asking you when you would like to come out to meet the pet, we will schedule an appointment, and then directions will be emailed to you. Adoption fees are cash only. If you would like to provide toys and snacks for the dogs in our care while they wait for their happily ever afters we would truly appreciate it.
