FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED
Meet Elka!
Elka is a 5-year-old, 99 lb Cane Corso who came to us from an overcrowded shelter, and this big beautiful girl is ready to find someone who will love her as much as she loves her people!
Elka is incredibly sweet and affectionate with the people she trusts. Her favorite place may just be with her giant head resting in your lap while she soaks up all the love and attention she can get. She is treat motivated, takes treats gently, and already knows her sit and down. She is a smart girl who is eager to please and will thrive with a family that enjoys continuing her training.
Elka has done well with other dogs, although she prefers slow, thoughtful introductions so everyone has time to get comfortable. She would enjoy having a compatible canine companion, but she would also be perfectly happy being someone’s one and only and getting all the love for herself. Either way, she’ll benefit from continued positive socialization.
At nearly 100 pounds, Elka is a strong girl and is still working on her leash manners. She’ll need a confident handler who is comfortable managing a large, powerful breed and is willing to continue working with her on her walking skills. A home with large-breed or Cane Corso experience would be ideal.
Elka has not been tested with cats, so a home without cats would be recommended at this time.

Elka is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
