IHOP1‑Year‑Old • Male • Pit Bull Mix • ~60 lbsI hippity hop hop hop... IHOP.Yes, there is a story behind the name - and it fits him perfectly.IHOP came to us as a stray, though he certainly didn't think he needed rescuing. Animal control spent a bit of time trying to catch this adventurous red fella because he just kept moving... and exploring... and occasionally lounging in a stranger's kiddie pool like he owned the place. Cute? Absolutely. Safe? Not so much. So we brought him in, gave him a soft place to land, and learned why he "hopped."From all his roaming, it seems he may have picked up a little overuse injury. His back legs and one front paw were sore, so he started hopping around on whichever leg felt best that day. Hence - IHOP.(And honestly... we run out of original names sometimes.)We're pretty sure he wouldn't mind trying actual pancakes either, if his name puts you in the mood.Personality & HabitsClean and quiet in his kennelPoses beautifully for the camera - he knows he's handsomeDog, cat, kid friendly - seems to think everyone is his buddyKnows basic commands - smart and eagerWants to zoom - he loves to move, and wasn't thrilled about his "short walks" while healingIHOP is a happy, friendly, silly boy with a big heart and a whole lot of charm.
