Meet Beatrice, a gentle Dachshund/Beagle mix who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to learn that she is safe and loved. Beatrice was rescued from a hoarding case in Southern Illinois and is still adjusting to the many new experiences that come with being part of a family. She is currently very timid and can be jumpy, but with time, consistency, and a calm environment, she has the opportunity to build confidence and show her sweet personality. Beatrice would do best with someone who understands that trust takes patience and who will celebrate the small steps along her journey.
