Meet toffee
Meet Toffee. Toffee is 1-2 years old, and is petite, weighing in at just over 30 pounds. She was dumped at a high-kill shelter in Southern California when she was just a puppy. She was saved from the euthanasia list by a la rescue in Southern California, and she has lived most of her life in a kennel. We would prefer to find her a couch and a bed! Her brother was recently adopted, and now it's Toffee's turn. She is being fostered locally in Massachusetts in a home with large & small dogs, cats, and older children (11-15). She is good with men and women, and all the dogs. However, she displays fear aggression in unfamiliar situations, and will growl and snap at strangers, especially younger children. We are looking for an experienced home for Toffee. She needs someone who will give her the structure and security she needs to flourish, and who is patient and won't expect too much of her too quickly. She's gone to training and knows simple tricks, and is housebroken.
