Meet Lucky!
Lucky is an 11-month-old, 55-pound female Akita mix with a heart full of love and a playful personality that’s impossible not to adore! This beautiful girl is incredibly sweet, friendly, and always happy to make new friends.
Lucky absolutely LOVES people, kids, and other dogs! She’s a social, fun-loving girl who enjoys playing and spending time with her favorite humans and canine companions. She’s also great with cats, although she sometimes hopes they’ll join in on the fun and play with her!
At just 11 months old, Lucky still has plenty of puppy enthusiasm! She gets excited to greet people and is working on keeping all four paws on the ground instead of jumping up to say hello. She’s a sweetheart who just needs a little continued guidance as she grows.
Why you’ll love Lucky:
Super sweet and affectionate
Friendly and outgoing
Loves kids
Great with other dogs
Cat friendly and wants to play
Playful and full of personality
Enjoys spending time with people
Does well on leash
Mostly potty trained
Young and eager to learn
Has so much love to give!
Lucky is doing well with her puppy basics! She walks nicely on leash in familiar, comfortable situations, although she can become nervous at times and may need a little extra reassurance. She’s also mostly potty trained and continuing to make progress.
One thing to know about Lucky is that she sometimes experiences submissive urination when she’s frightened. This is an involuntary response to feeling nervous, not a house-training issue or something she’s doing intentionally. A patient, gentle family who uses positive reinforcement and helps her build confidence will be important for her continued progress.
Lucky would thrive with a loving family who appreciates her playful spirit and is willing to continue working on her confidence and puppy manners. With her friendly personality and love for other animals and children, she has so much potential to become an incredible family companion!
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate girl who’s ready to share a lifetime of love and adventures, Lucky might just be your perfect match!
