Hi, my name is Oreo and I am from Louisiana!

If happiness came with four paws and a wagging tail, it would be me!

I'm a cheerful, fun-loving pup who wakes up every day excited to see what adventures are ahead. Whether it's chasing toys, making new friends, exploring the neighborhood on walks, or soaking up attention from my people, I bring enthusiasm and joy to everything I do.

One of my favorite things in the world is playtime! I absolutely love rope toys and squeaky toys and can happily entertain myself by tossing them around. I also love interactive games, especially tug. If I get a little too excited and mouthy during play, I respond well to redirection and am happy to switch my attention to a toy.

I'm also an explorer at heart. On walks, I love taking my time to sniff and investigate all the sights and smells around me. My nose is always hard at work!

I'm doing great with my crate training. I may whine or bark for a few minutes when first settling in, but then I relax quietly and sleep soundly through the night. With my temp foster, I've been sleeping from about 9:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. in my crate with no accidents. After a nice walk, I'm ready to settle down and rest.

I've met a cat and was very curious and eager to play. My excitement was a little overwhelming for my feline friend, but I wasn't aggressive and redirected easily to toys when asked.

I'm not overly food motivated and I show no signs of resource guarding with people around my food bowl. Mostly, I'm just focused on having fun and spending time with my humans!

I'm working on my training as well. I've got "sit" down like a pro and I'm eager to put my smart brain to use and learn even more. I like short training sessions where I'm rewarded with my breakfast or dinner topped off with a dessert of toy!

Everyone I meet quickly becomes my friend. I love people, enjoy being part of the action, and am always ready to share cuddles after playtime. My sweet personality and happy-go-lucky spirit make me the kind of dog who can brighten even the toughest day.
